  Today I’m going to talk about some frameworks used to help in game design and game research. Source:  Medium The first paper that I’m going to talk about is MDA: A formal approach to game design and game research. The paper talks about MDA (which stands for Mechanics, Dynamics, and Aesthetics) which is a framework used to analyze games. It makes it easier for all parties in the game development process to decompose, study and design a broad class of game designs and artifacts. The paper refers MDA as design methodology, design methodology help guide the creative thought process and help ensure quality work. I think MDA is a very interesting approach to help with game design and research.
