Wikipedia Trail - Stories in Games

For this week’s Wikipedia trail, I’m choosing to do my topic on stories in games. I wrote a blog on it for this week’s reading task and thought it would be a good topic to do a Wikipedia trail on.

The first article I chose was Storytelling game I chose it because it talks more about stories in games in depth. The information in the article is quite different form the information in the reading tasks articles. But it gives some new insights of stories in games.

The second article I chose was Universalis, Universalis is a role playing game that emphasizes on interactive storytelling. I chose the article because it talks about some elements in the game that makes the game have a good narrative.

The third article I chose was Lexicon, Lexicons is a computer assisted role playing game. I chose the article because I thought the instructions on how to play the game felt like a story introduction to the game.

The fourth article I chose was Mind’s Eye theatre, Mind’s Eye theatre is a live action role play game aka LARP. LARP is a form of role playing where people act out their character. I chose this article because it talks about the game and LARP and I thought the storyline in these types of games are interesting.
