Learning Challenge - All That We Share

In this blog I am going to give my thoughts on a video from Denmark about empathy called “all that we share”. The message of the video was that people should not stereotype and label people because of their appearance or background. It shows  how much people have in have common when the host asks  everyone  questions.

I thought that the overall video was great, one thing that I liked the most was when  people from different classes and backgrounds were in the video. And the questions they were asked showed that they are not so different.

One thing that the video confirmed for me that I already knew to be true was that some people have somethings in common and some people have nothing in common at all.

One new thing I learned by watching the video is that someone can find common ground or an understanding with someone who they think is different from  themselves.

One thing that I’m curious to explore is how we as people can learn not to label people and not to discriminate, I plan on doing this by researching on the internet.

Game Brainstorm

  My first game idea is a simple idea, it’s to make a game where you would have to throw rubbish in a recycling bin, and it would have instructions saying what can and can’t enter the bin and it won’t have a time limit. The objects would be thrown diagonally and horizontally and to get them in the bin you would have the swipe them towards the bin. There won’t be lives but if you get the wrong object in the bin your score will reset. Or there could be levels, and you would have to reach a certain number of points to get to the next level and the point count would go higher after each level you complete. There would be something like milestone achievements, for example you could get ten points then you would get a text come down from the top of the screen saying something like “well done you gotten piece of trash in the bin”.   And as you progress throughout the game it will get harder, for example if you have more than 10 points or you’re on level 5 the objects would st...
