Publishing Task 2 - Choosing a UX based concept

 In this blog I will talk about the main UX features I want to implement in my website, and how I can do it. I also talk more about my idea and what I want the final result of it to look like. 


I intend to make a music website for the music genre rap, some of the content it would have would be new albums, songs, billboard charts, achievements and intresting news on rap artists. The blog post will mainly be about American rap artists. I would want the final result of my blog to be personalized to my idea of the blog being about American rappers. I plan to have my font choices, imagery, colors, layout and other visual elements to give my blog to look and feel of a blog about American rappers.

Two UX features that will be incorporated into my website will be " accessibility and dynamic UX". I would like visitors to my website to feel like it is an easy website to navigate and access and a website that is dynamic in its user experience. The second UX feature on the website will be image and video play strategy. The imagery and video on the website will play a big part on the website and I would like to show them in a creative way

My motivation for my work is to make a professional blog for my website genre. Even if you're not a fan of rap or a rap artist I would want my blog to give a new insight to that person. To do this I will implement the two UX features that would help me achieve my goals for the website.

I could implement video and imagery by having a gallery page using the WordPress gallery plugin "Envira". I would use a suitable accessibility plugin to help me make the website look easy to understand and navigate.

The main elements like moving and  the avatar respawning when it hits an obstacle work, I've had trouble adding the side content for a few days. So I'm thinking of a new approach for the side content. Apart from side content I have had a few difficulties with some other things I was working on. Like the Hud and powerups. But I have found a few videos and websites that are going to help me.                                                                                     My Image: My new approach to side content. I' m quite behind on some of the targets I  set out for  my game but with the videos and advice I found online, I think I will able to implement the extra things I wanted. Overall I hope to make a game that I would be proud of.

Growth Mindset

Growth Mindset Image from  Pinterest source: Pinterest  I haven't heard of Carol Dweck before, but I have heard about growth mindset. I learned about it in a class in secondary school. I'm not sure where I see myself on the spectrum of a growth-fixed mindset in terms of school work. I know I can be better or good at something if I tried but then I don't try because it seems hard  or boring to me. While I've been at OU I have learned that most times I don't take a positive approach when trying to learn something, I also learned that if I make something competitive for myself I tend to find it easier to learn and interesting. Some of my biggest challenges when I try to learn new things is that I would take a lot of information and then I would think oh this is too hard or this is  boring.
